Deutsche Telekom (parent company of Magyar Telekom) has been regularly audited externally (e.g. according to the Assurance Standard 980 of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany (IDW PS 980) or ISO 37001 standard). Magyar Telekom is a regular participant in these independent audits and system audits. These audits enable us to ensure that we systematically counteract risks and have established effective processes.
In 2020 and 2021, Deutsche Telekom and several of its subsidiaries, including Magyar Telekom undertook a certification process using the German IDW AssS 980 Certification focusing on compliance organization processes and areas at risk of corruption (procurement, sales, donations, sponsorship, etc.). The audit confirmed that Magyar Telekom Plc. has met the requirements, and its Compliance management system is assessed to be appropriate and effective. The report is available for download here.
The ISO Standard 37001 regarding Anti-Bribery-Management-Systems was published in October 2016. Magyar Telekom Nyrt. is one of the first companies world-wide to have been successfully certified in 2017.
