Hosting (data park) services

In the area of hosting, as in other IT segments, rapid development can be observed. Magyar Telekom’s business brand, T-Systems, which is a leading provider of hosting and collocation services in the Hungarian market, pays special attention to expanding the portfolio of its services. As a result of this effort the DataPark in Szeged has opened, where T-Systems’ hosting-type services are also available.

We consider it to be our task to make the solutions developed available to our customers at our DataPark, at the same time we are aware that taking a decision is not easy when many new possible alternatives become available.

We also consider it important, while ensuring an outstandingly high level of availability of our server rooms, to increase with add-on services the time when the servers installed are individually available.

Today distance is no longer an obstacle, security, on the other hand, is a must.

From the summer of 2006, for the first time in Hungary we introduced our IP console service, which has since been developed into a comprehensive “rack-management system”. We find it important to pay increased attention to unpredictable incidents whenever installing a machine. When there is a demand for it, we integrate every management port of active equipment required for the operation concerned into the central control system of our DataPark, thereby making it accessible to our authorized partners. To further improve service quality, it is also for the first time in Hungary that we have introduced a temperature monitoring and alarm system operating in the whole area with 100 sensors. We have been the first to undertake stand-by duty for the server computers in operation with the help of our virtualization system and, since 2005, we have been offering a software rental service to our customers.
