Magyar Telekom’s sustainability practice assessed outstanding

FTSE Russell (FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirmed that as a result of an independent analysis conducted along the FTSE4Good criteria, Magyar Telekom met the requirements based on which it may remain part of the FTSE4Good index family .
The FTSE4Good indexes – established by FTSE Russel along with other global indexes – measure the activities of companies whose performance in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas is outstanding. The indexes in question are used by a wide range of market players when establishing or assessing responsible investment funds and other products.
Magyar Telekom has been a part of the FTSE4Good Emerging Index, which monitors the sustainability performance of companies in emerging countries, and currently covers more than 20 countries, since its launch in 2016.
As a result of the year-2019 assessment, Magyar Telekom Group’s sustainability activities were graded the maximum 5 points, which puts the company among the top 1% in the global telecom sector.
