Change in Magyar Telekom’s top management

Magyar Telekom announces that Chief Financial Officer János Szabó will leave the company as of 29 February 2020 on his own initiative. As of 1 March 2020 he will be succeeded by Darja Dodonova, currently Vice president of Europe segment Technology Controlling at Deutsche Telekom.

With his efforts he has greatly contributed to the results of our corporation. He leaves behind a financially sound, well-performing company. Under his financial leadership, Magyar Telekom, as one of the largest investors in the Hungarian telecommunications market, has made significant network developments, which has greatly contributed to the digitalisation of the country” - said Tibor Rékasi, Magyar Telekom’s CEO. “Let me welcome Darja Dodonova to the top management of Magyar Telekom. I am confident that she will be able to successfully use the diverse knowledge obtained at Deutsche Telekom Group to meet the challenges and tasks of the forthcoming period” - he added.
Darja Dodonova joins Magyar Telekom from the Headquarters of Deutsche Telekom Group, where she has been working since 2000. Since January 2017 she has been Vice president of Europe segment Technology Controlling. Darja has more than 19 years of finance experience especially in the field of controlling and accounting. In previous years she held various management positions, such as e.g. Head of Capex Controlling, Vice President Functional Controlling. Darja has graduated from the St. Petersburg State Academy for Engineering and Economy where she has received her Master of International Finance.
