The cultic series of Kevin Spacey will be premiered on April 1, available exclusively in the Telekom MovieClub film package.

Consequent to the cooperation of Telekom and Sony Pictures Television Networks Central Europe,the series House of Cards will be premiered in Hungary and exclusively available in the AXN NOW assortment to subscribers of the Telekom MovieClub video on demand (SVOD) service. The first season of the Golden Globe® and Emmy® award winner series – featuring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright – will be available from April 1, 2014 using the video on demand service.

The series titled House of Cards was premiered in the USA in February, 2013 in an extraordinary way, within the video on demand service. Soon it became the most sought after program on the site. Making all 13 episodes available at the same time was meant to emphasize the flexibility of the new type of watching television – as viewers can enjoy the series as their time permits it.
The scene of House of Cards is modern age – but imaginary – Washington, where stormy waters swallow politician Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey – American Beauty, Horrible Bosses). The actual president of the US – who was helped by Underwood to acquire his office – badly betrays him, preventing him to becoming one of the mighty politicians. This is when Underwood starts a refined and versatile power play, to take revenge. His ambitious wife Claire (Robin Wright – The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Forrest Gump) is a true partner in his endeavor, who spares no effort either to accelerate the career of her husband. Meanwhile, the ambitious reporter of Washington Herald, Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara – American Horror Story) also enters the scene, who sees the insider information of Francis as a major opportunity.The series received three Emmy® awards for best movie director and best actors in the drama series category, and for the best cameraman performance in the single-camera series. The performance of  Robin Wright earned the Golden Globe ® award.
AXN NOW is the SVOD type service of Sony Pictures Television Networks, and now in cooperation with Telekom it makes the series House of Cards available in Hungary. The whole series will also be available in Hungary from April 1, 2014 in the MovieClub film package within the digital TV service of Telekom.
