- The
Telekom Trainee Program welcomes applicants again.
- Recruitment for one of Hungary’s most popular trainee
programs is launched again .
- Students are welcome to apply on the Telekom website between February 26
and April 7, 2014.
Students with active legal student status, participating in the higher education scheme, providing college level (BSc and BA), or university level (MSc and MA) diplomas - either in daytime, evening or correspondence courses - are welcome to apply on the karrier.telekom.hu site. As another requirement: applicants are expected to have at least medium level English language skills. The company signs a part time labour contract with the trainees, for a definite 5 months period. Students have to perform 20 hours of work a week in a flexible time schedule, which can easily be aligned with university studies. The first week starts with orientation, assisting the integration into the corporate culture and learning about the new working environment. Later students are allocated to the professional areas, where they participate in specific, project-like tasks.
„We are searching for young people and future colleagues, who – further to what they learnt in school – can contribute to the company’s success with their creative and individual thinking, with their attitude and individuality. Such people make the Telekom community excellent” – said Éva Somorjai, chief human resources officer.
Beside further details, one can also find the CV application on the website, offering assistance to freshmen to enter a unique, tailor-made and flawless CV which improves their chances for the successful application. Students interested can receive further information from current trainees and HR associates on the „I will be a trainee at Telekom” Facebook site, while they can also put questions in person on February 26-27 at the HVG job expo organised in SYMA event hall, where young talents and experienced experts are expected with 40 free positions and traineeships. At the first multi-storey pavilion inthe history of the job expo the HR associates of Telekom provide more detailed information. Visitors can also put their individual way of thinking to test with interesting games, or can also receive tailor-made career tips, while taking a rest inthe lounge set up on the terrace of the pavilion.
Currently 200 young people participate in one of Hungary’s most well known and most popular trainee programs, representing 100 faculties of 37 education institutions, chosen from among almost 1,000 applicants. Together with the similar program of T-Systems Hungary, the Magyar Telekom Group provides the impetus to about 500 trainees, starting their professional career.
The Telekom trainee program enjoys high popularity for numerous reasons: following a 2 months probation period, in addition to the fix monthly salary the company also acknowledges the work of young people by providing different fringe benefits, while trainees also receive constant feedback through the mentor system, providing effective development for freshmen just starting their career. This offers an excellent possibility to step out from behind the school bench, putting what they learnt at school to practical use, while the company also benefits from the work of trainees bringing fresh knowledge and creative ideas. Also not to be underestimated: talented and agile young people can also receive a career offer from the company, upon the completion of their studies.
