The Athlete Club of Ferencváros (FTC) and Magyar Telekom signed an agreement for three years the main aim of which is to support development and recruitment.
Magyar Telekom signed a contract to support Ferencváros for three years. The most important aim of the cooperation is to support development and recruitment. The market leader Telco provider and the country’s most popular soccer club intend to improve further the training environment of the 12-19 age groups of players who are of a special importance for development.
The mother company supports football in several countries at the international level also, as being the most popular branch of sport mobilizing several generations. In Hungary Telekom has been the chief sponsor for two years in a row of the series of events called Telekom Soccer Student Olympics for schoolchildren. It also sponsors the college and university championships organised by MLSZ (Hungary’s Soccer Federation). The firm reinforces its commitment to development by signing the agreement with FTC, by which it embraces the branch of sport with the highest number of amateur and certified athletes and, more specifically, the club with the largest pool of fans.
The corporation’s sponsorship activity spans several branches of sport and by doing so it endeavours to support sports and events that are salient, attract masses of people and, speaking about teams, they have fan pools all over the country. So, beside FTC, Telekom’s sponsorship has been enjoyed by the Hungarian Olympics Committee for the sixth readiness cycle, the men’s handball team of Veszprém’s MKB-MVM for 17 years, Hungary’s one of most popular run races, Telekom Vivicittá for years and, almost since its inception, the Hungarian Swimming Federation.
