More than 1,500 players of 140 teams qualify into the finals of the telekom football student olympic games at the county series

The county final series of the Telekom Football Student Olympic Games reached the closing session. Following the tournaments – coupled with family days – to be organized in Budapest, Kecskemét, Siófok, Székesfehérvár and Veszprém on Saturday and Sunday the list of 1,500 players of 140 teams making it to the national finals will be finalized.
For the first time this year
the Hungarian Student Sports Association and Magyar Telekom jointly organized
the junior football tournament lasting for 4 weekends. The matches so far
generated huge interest, teams playing on the last weekend of county finals are
expected to be similarly welcome.
At the county level finals
of the Telekom Football Student Olympic Games – involving 8,500 players of 760
teams – not only the young players, but escorting teachers, family members and
supporters can enjoy versatile programmes, skill competitions and win valuable
prizes. Visitors are welcome with trick football competitions, special photo
sessions – and they can also meet athletes and celebrities committed for
sports, including the „faces” of the events Harsányi Levente, Ganxsta Zolee and
Nacsa Olivér as well as Szász Kitti freestyle football world champion.
Further to these, matches
are also worthy of visiting for other noble goals: the school mobilizing most
supporters will be awarded by Telekom – the committed supporter of Hungarian
football – with a valuable prize.
The goal of the Hungarian
Student Sports Association is to promote healthy lifestyle, regular physical
exercise and sports among students, increasing the number of students doing
sports regularly, extending the base for succession of competitive sports, as
well as representing and protecting the interests of member both in Hungary and
abroad. The support of Magyar Telekom is also an extremely important factor in
renewing the student sports movement for this reason.
