Budapest, May 31, 2012 12:00
Telekom presenting the VOLT Festival celebrating its 20th anniversary and is a key supporter of Heineken Balaton Sound.
- Festival participants are met by an unusual experience already on their arrival: this year, instead of walking in, they may „slide in” to summer festivals. Telekom’s huge Magenta slide will spark off festival experiences.
- Thanks to the fact that the development by Telekom of the mobile network also spans rural cities, Zamárdi will expect festival participants already with the 4G network.
- There will be paired discounts at festivals in the framework of the XY game, which is an interactive community game to take place between concerts.
- The „Fesztivátor” application, which is a compass to festivals.
Telekom is about to offer a series of experiences at the jubilee VOLT and the Heineken Balaton Festivals. One can literally „slide” into the festivals using the huge 8-meter high slide to be set up at the entrance. Telekom, which appears with the magenta slide as the chief sponsor at the Volt Festival and a supporter at the Heineken Balaton Sound Festival intends to demonstrate its 4G network development as well as the speed and experience available through it. Visitors of the Heineken Balaton Sound will be enabled to try on the spot the experience the 4G network offers and Telekom is preparing with a major capacity expansion for both festivals.
Alongside the festivals Telekom is launching its XY campaign, in the framework of which it will offer unique possibilities to the customers participating in it. Those festival visitors, who purchase any Samsung product at one of the Telekom shops or its online interfaces, will receive an X or Y arm band. All they have to do then is to register via SMS and find at the festivals a pair with the opposite letter with whom they can share the special experiences offered by Telekom. They will include a backstage tour, revitalising massage, free breakfast in pairs and a lot of other surprises.
Telekom is preparing with a special application for festival goers. Using the application baptized as „Fesztivátor” festival goers may take photos at the various festival places of Telekom and thus the place they are at can be identified and their acquaintances may find them in no time. They will also be able to share their experiences with ease either on the spot or through the Facebook; moreover they can prepare a scenic musical film of their photos by just a few clicks.
The intervals between concerts will not go without experiences either: Telekom is preparing with an interactive community game for it. The crowd will be able to act as a live joystick with the help of the technology. The game will be steered by a camera, sensing the mobiles upheld, which will move the elements appearing on the displays.
Life passes in a lounge spirit during the day and at a more vigorous space from evening till dawn at the Telekom Terrace, which has been highly popular for years now. Apart from free of charge internet use festival visitors may also charge up their mobile phones in the cosy club.
This year too it will be possible to purchase minute-based festival tickets at both the Volt and the Heineken Balaton Sound Festivals. According to plans the minute-based tickets will already be available for Days 0; however tickets can be purchased only for the actual day.
