Winners of the ReZene Advertising Music Competition Announced!
Budapest, October 14, 2011 12:00
The advertising film music competition announced by Telekom has come to a successful end after three weeks. The professional jury of the competition that was followed by great public interest and the audience who closely followed the event have selected the best entries.
All those who submitted entries to the three-week ReZene Competition had to
do was select one or even several of the advertising films with diverse tones
and visual world from the site
www.rezene.hu
and compose their own song, melody, or motif or even noise-based music either
accompanied one or more instruments or unaccompanied.
From the more than 500
pieces received by October 3, 2011, 336 pieces complied with the competition
requirements, and were judged by a jury composed of Compact Disc, Gábor Herendi,
the Vad Fruttik, Zorán, and Balázs Zságer. The artists, who move in different
musical and artistic fields, took diverse approaches in judging the entries but
they all preferred the ones that harmonized with and took a fresh approach to
the dramaturgy of the films. (

Entries featured rock, punk, hip-hop, world music, synthpop and trance style
genres, and there were pieces among them inspired by oral-bass and beat box,
hip-hop, drum and bass, break beat, goa and other, which most of them spiced
with lots of humour and imagination. HUF 1 million was distributed among the
winners of the competition and the composer judged the best can take part in
composing the music of one of the company's adverts.
When the competition was announced organisers also thought of those who are
less conversant with composing music for adverts and for them a simple music
editing application was available on a separate tab of the ReZene Demo Game on
Facebook, with the help of which they could record their own audio, upload and
share it with others.
Beside the jury, Facebook users were also given the chance to judge those
taking part in the ReZene Competition and the ReZene Demo Game: by clicking on
the "Like" button they could vote for their preferred composer. Those who
collected the highest number of votes were given the audience prize, which was
an HTC wildfire S smart telephone for each. In addition, to the above all
entrants who won an award have received a one-year subscription to Creative
Magazine.
