Grand scale music sponsorship in different genres, festivals targeting youth, events and electronic music programmes from Telekom
Budapest, May 18, 2011
- The two main directions of music programmes: Electronic Beats and Telekom Music Moments
- The T brands became one of the largest supporters of the Hungarian pop music scene by sponsoring and organising music festivals and concerts
- This year the T-Mobile Connection concert will be organised for the 15th time!
Beside the company’s propositions and favourably priced schemes specifically designed for young people, Telekom also pays special attention to the youth even in the course of its music sponsorship activities. Sponsoring popular music and related activities are carried out in the frame of the Electronic Beats program – being club-like, staging high quality electronic music events - and Telekom Music Moments, addressing even wider public and offering wide ranging music styles, both aligned with the international music sponsorship activities of Deutsche Telekom. The highly successful series of music events, Electronic Beats – initiated by Deutsche Telekom and having also reached Hungary several years ago – will be given a new impetus this year. The first event of the quarterly organised series of events – staging both Hungarian and international performers, as well as high quality club music – will be held on May 19 of 2011, at the after-party following the Brand & Music conference – also supported by Telekom and focused around the special relationships between brands, advertisements and music.
Festivals will also be in the focal point of the company’s music and sponsorship activities, including the Sopron VOLT Festival, Heineken Balaton Sound and Campus Festival in Debrecen. Telekom will be the main sponsor of VOLT and Campus, while in case of Balaton Sound it will be the name sponsor of an even larger venue then earlier: on the T-Mobile Terrace the very best performers of electronic music will follow each other on the stage. As one of the highlighted events in the series closing the EU Hungarian presidency, this year for the 15th time the T-Mobile Connection concert will be organised. Similarly to previous years, organisers expect hundreds of thousands to attend the event on June 25, 2011 at the 1956 Heroes‘ Square in Budapest.
„Beside our propositions and special terms offered to young people, we attach utmost importance to Telekom being one of the largest, if not the largest sponsors of pop music – bearing of special significance to them – and in this regard we can work together with excellent partners at the festivals and music events. At Telekom related music events, as sponsors or as in case of the Connection concert as main organiser we shall do our utmost in order for the T-brands to contribute to creating moments and experiences worthy of sharing“ – said István Király, chief officer of Magyar Telekom.
Telekom contributes to sharing memorable moments by offering innovative and interactive services at the location of festivals and events, awaiting visitors with numerous local activities and surprises. In addition, T-Mobile contributes to the comfort of music fans by offering mobile broadband services, while T-Home offers fix line broadband services. An interactive service is currently under preparation between mobile operators and the partner operator, offering an innovative service also available to T-Mobile subscribers, enabling festival goers to buy minute based tickets using their mobile phones to enter VOLT and Balaton Sound.
In addition to Telekom‘s recently announced propositions and favourable schemes offered to young people, the company also launches a new, innovative service on June 1, 2011. Under the ZeneCenter (MusicCenter) name an interactive service will be available to customers, offering a wide variety of Hungarian and international music to subscribers through the screen of computers or display of mobile phones.
