Budapest, March 28, 2011 14:15
A lecture series of extraordinary nature has been launched by Magyar Telekom and IAESTE Hungary (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) at Óbuda University. The extraordinary nature of the series lies in the fact that the students of the university could decide by vote about what aspects of Hungary's leading telecommunication company's activities they would like lectures delivered to them. In the spirit of the strategic framework agreement concluded by and between Óbuda University and Magyar Telekom in 2010, the Company continuously seeks opportunities to innovatively contribute to the enrichment of the students' knowledge by up-to-date, practical experience.
In the interactive lecture series to be completed by
May, Magyar Telekom's experts and executives shall present about the practice of
Hungary's leading telecommunication company. The eight topics of the lectures
have been selected from a list by the students through a questionnaire-based
survey. As a result of the survey, the topics of choice include innovative areas
like 3DTV, mobile geographical positioning, MobileTV, Smart Home and 4G/LTE -
the future's mobile network.
The lecture series will be followed by an
online game accessible via the "I will be an intern at Telekom" page of
Facebook. Students have to answer three questions related to the lectures'
topics in 24 hours. Some students, selected by draw from those who answer
correctly all questions regarding every lecture, will receive two-person weekly
passes to Campus Festival at Debrecen, sponsored by Magyar Telekom. In addition,
as a conclusion of the program, the 10-12 students showing the greatest interest
in the lectures will be offered the opportunity of a tour hosted by Magyar
Telekom's Chief Technology and IT Officer, István Maradi, to one of the
Company's top technological facilities, the Network Operation Center (NOC),
which is unique even in international comparison.

cooperation framework agreements with several institutions of academic
education, including Óbuda University. The purpose of the partnership is that,
through mutual knowledge sharing and joint R&D initiatives, the Company
