T-Mobile subscribers can access iWiW from their mobile phones free of charge

Budapest, September 1, 2010

From September 1 - as a special promotion - T-Mobile subscribers can access iWiW, the largest community portal of Hungary free of charge. The community site – having millions of users – can be accessed from mobile phones even easier, with applications that can be downloaded through the renewed m.iwiw.hu site on iPhone, or Android, Symbian and Java capable mobile phones.

In the joint promotion of iWiW and T-Mobile the subscribers of T-Mobile can access the largest community site of Hungary from their mobile phones, between September 1, 2010 and February 28, 2011. Users can share content, follow the news board, handle messages or surf on the data sheet and photos of their friends, or even use the birthday reminder feature. The service is gratis within Hungary, including the m.iwiw.hu site accessed with the browser of mobile phones, as well as iWiW applications downloaded on iPhone, or Android, Symbian and Java capable mobile phones.

The gratis service excludes the downloading of applications, or data traffic generated when opening non-iWiW related sites – and for technical reasons it also excludes use of the CS WAP connection or the browser based on Opera Mini, and WAP 1 protocol. Browsing on iWiW sites with mobile phone abroad is always subjected to the applicable roaming fee. Mobile telephone access requires an Internet connection activated for the subscription.

The number of iWiW users through mobile phones increases continuously, resulting from the ever more versatile options of access – as from August almost all iWiW.hu functions are also available with mobile phones. iWiW as a downloadable mobile application was introduced in mid-August, while the service is also available through the renewed m.iwiw.hu, using the formerly accustomed browser. On certain mobile terminals the service will be a pre-installed application.
