MobileParking by now also at the Ferihegy Airport!

In addition to Budapest and further 24 cities, the MobileParking service is also available at the Ferihegy Airport from March 1, 2010. This simple and comfortable solution is available at the rapid parking facilities of the Ferihegy Airport, offering and easy solution for mobile subscribers wish to park their cars for a short period only.
The service – introduced today at Ferihegy – is available for users of the rapid parking lots in front of the airport terminals.
The service can be used the usual way, also at Ferihegy: one can initiate the parking period by sending an SMS containing the license plate number of the car to the phone number shown on the parking ticket vending machine. Parking can be stopped any time by sending the word STOP in SMS, to the same number. Should the customer know exactly how much time he intends to park, he can also show the required parking duration in the SMS sent. By calling the telephone number shown on the ticket vending machine – following the first parking transaction initiated by SMS - Pannon and T-Mobile subscribers can also start or terminate parking using the automated voice menu. Starting the parking period is always verified by an SMS, confirming the transaction. Parking guards can electronically retrieve information – through the central EME data base – whether the actual vehicle registered parking under its license plate number.
In case someone is forced to park longer than the maximal 1 hour permitted at the rapid parking zone – because for example the expected person’s plane’s landing is delayed – using the MobileParking service the parking period can be easily extended by simply sending an SMS. Users of the service receive a reminder SMS 15 minutes before the expiry of the paid period, as well as upon the elapse of the maximal 1 hour – and can decide if he wishes to extend the parking period. Should a subscriber forget to terminate parking the system automatically logs him off after 1 hour.
Using the MobileParking service, cashless parking can be initiated saving time, while the parking charge, as well as the related transaction fee and SMS or call charges are deducted from the credit balance kept with the mobile operator – while post-paid subscribers can also pay afterwards, included in their monthly bill. The popularity of this service is underlined by the fact that the MobileParking service was used more than 1.5 million times, by now.
