Magyar Telekom continues in the international sustainability index

Magyar Telekom has been included in the Central-East European CEERIUS sustainability stock exchange index also for 2011. The investment qualification based on an independent evaluation has confirmed again that Magyar Telekom is a leading company in sustainability also in international comparison.
The CEERIUS (CEE Responsible Investment Universe), the responsible
investment index of Central and Eastern Europe launched in 2009 by the
Vienna Stock Exchange, includes the best performing companies in terms
of social and ecological quality from the region's eight countries also
this year. Nearly 200 companies have been evaluated and the index has
been compiled by the Austrian consulting company RFU (Reinhard
Friesenbichler Unternehmensberatung) on the basis of surveying the
responsible stakeholder relations of companies. Among other issues,
relations of companies were examined to their own employees, the society
as a whole, customers, market players and the environment.
Several
investment products are based on the CEERIUS index. Responsible
investments in the shares of companies that are leaders in
sustainability increase rapidly in popularity and significance: their
value has nearly doubled in Europe since 2008 reaching EUR 5,000

Magyar Telekom's sustainability performance has been recognized
by responsible investment evaluators also earlier. The company was
included in the CEERIUS index in the year of its introduction in 2009,
and it has been rated Prime category, recommended to investors, by
Germany's Oekom.
