New virtual presentation tool with Magyar Telekom's support
Budapest, March 26, 2009 14:00
A new visual communication tool called Prezi is launched on the market; it has been developed in Kitchen Budapest (KIBU), the innovation research and development laboratory created by Magyar Telekom.
Prezi, the first development of a Hungarian start-up enterprise ZUI Kft., is attracting rapidly growing international interest. The presentation tool with zooming function and mosaic-like information structure has achieved major success in the US and Western Europe already before its market launch. For example Institute for the Future, that is based in California and holds workshops worldwide for leaders of Fortune 500 companies, is using Prezi already in 2009.
Prezi is a new flash-based presentation tool, a virtual screen on which presentation elements can be placed, then freely arranged to create a route. The presentation structure is not linear, content elements can be zoomed and moved around to present or discover various subjects in an interesting way. The dynamic structure and visuality help to hold the interest of the audience. Prezi targets users for whom visual presentation matters and wants to produce the most graphics in a presentation.
Kitchen Budapest (KIBU) is an innovation laboratory created in 2007 by Magyar Telekom, a multifunctional space involving urban space, mobile communication and the Internet, where space and tools are offered to young researchers for free thinking and creative team work. Initial development of Prezi started here - like many other projects - and now this new virtual presentation tool is used by a growing scope of customers.
Magyar Telekom pioneers the application of innovative technologies and has been supporting from the start the development of the new presentation software too. The company's Alternative Business and Corporate Development BU was the first to use Prezi, then the Business Services BU (T-Systems) also introduced presentation with Prezi.
Prezi can be downloaded on the website www.prezi.com. On-line operation is better because this way it is very easy to jointly
edit and integrate presentations into websites and blogs. The program can be used off-line too, its professional version will
be offered for sale from April on Prezi's website.
