Telekom Donation Line for children with cancer and leukemia

The National Alliance for Children with Cancer and Leukemia that encompasses sixteen foundations can be supported by calling the Telekom Donation Line 1788 in the first two months of 2009.

The goal of the alliance is to create the Hungarian Child Oncology Networks cancer register.The overall objective with the creation and operation of the network is to provide professional support to the personnel of the Hungarian Child Oncology Network's regional centers that use these services. This way the implementation of this project will result in improved quality of treatment at national level and lead to scientific research results. It is high time to upgrade the records of the Hungarian Child Cancer Register that has been kept since 1971 and the Network's reporting system to ensure long-term patient follow-up.

Telekom Donation Line (1788) has been operating for seven years. It can be accessed from Magyar Telekom's fixed and mobile networks, one call or SMS costs HUF 100. Calls are not subject to VAT except calls made with Domino prepaid cards. The total price of calls made over the two-month period will be donated to the National Alliance for Children with Cancer and Leukemia.
