Balázs Máthé, the Magyar Telekom Group’s Director of Group Legal Services Branch

The Company’s Board decided that the Legal Services area will directly report to the Chairman-CEO. Dr. Balázs Máthé was appointed as the Magyar Telekom Group’s Director of Group Legal Services Branch.
Balázs Máthé (38), graduated in 1995 from the Janus Pannonius
University, Pécs (Faculty of Law). His other studies included EU
Studies at the Universita degli Studi di Trento, Italy, and a few
semesters at the Faculty of Arts (History and Languages) at Janus
Pannonius University. Before this appointment Balázs Máthé spent 12
years with various international law firms in Budapest, including 5
years at one of the leading global legal firms, Linklaters where he was
a partner and the head of the corporate governance department. As a
lawyer he is a specialist in cross border corporate mergers and
acquisitions (M&A) and corporate governance, with considerable
experience in transactions and projects in regulated sectors and
relating to listed companies. He also gained experience in the
supporting practices to mainstream corporate and M&A transactions,
such as commercial contracts, competition, real estate and employment.
In
recent years, Balázs Máthé has been regularly listed as one of
Hungary's leading corporate lawyers by the major international legal
directories.
He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
Balázs Máthé is married with two children who go to kindergarten. His
hobbies includes traveling, history, skiing and mountain biking.
