Changes in the management of Magyar Telekom

The Board of Directors of Magyar Telekom appointed Éva Somorjai Chief Human Resources Officer of Magyar Telekom as of April 1, 2007 following the departure of Dr. Tamás Pásztory. The members of the Board of Directors have also decided to create a new Chief Information Officer (CIO) position. They will decide later about the person to be appointed to this position.
Éva Somorjai (41) completed her studies at the College for Commerce and
Catering. From 1989 she worked at the international directorate of
Magyar Hitelbank, from 1991 through 1994 she was the administrative and
financial manager of a real estate investment company in Melbourne,
Australia. After her return she found employment with Pepsi Cola
Hungary. From1996 she worked in various management positions in the HR
area of the company's Central European division. In 1999 she was
appointed HR director of the international organization and personnel
development area, from 2000 she filled the position of HR director of
the Hungarian company.
She has been working for Magyar Telekom
since October 2001. Since 2002 she has been director of the Group HR
Branch. She was involved in the elaboration of the group HR strategy,
in providing HR support to international and domestic acquisition
activities and in the management of the company restructuring and
development program.
Éva Somorjai said on her appointment: "I am

HR work developed over the past years. As a business partner I have the
objective of maintaining the operational excellence of the Group
through the development of highly trained, valuable experts, the
application of the most efficient forms of remuneration, and by
