T-Com launches symmetrical DSL service
Budapest, August 1, 2007 13:00
From August 1 T-Com offers Symmetrical DSL business service for small- and medium-size enterprises. The strengths of the new service are identical download and upload rates and flat-rate price regardless of total usage time and traffic carried.
Unlike ADSL and TDSL the symmetrical DSL service offers identical
download and upload rates. This can be important for companies that
offer content services, operate corporate management systems requiring
independent server or operate their own mail server. The service is
ideal also for multi-site companies where users connect to the central
servers via the internet. It can be an excellent solution also for
enterprises processing large volumes of data for their operations, e.g.
graphics studios, publication editing, construction and investment
project management companies or tourism enterprises. T-Com offers
symmetrical DSL business packages with the excellent quality parameters
available also with the ADSL service.
From August 1, T-Com
offers symmetrical DSL business packages with 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps rates.
The service provider guarantees in both packages upload rates identical
with the download rates (1 Mbps or 2 Mbps). This rate enables efficient
uploading: while an average ADSL package enables the upload of a 500 MB
file in more than 4 hours, with symmetrical DSL of 2 Mbps rate this
takes no more than half an hour. T-Com offers with the internet access
that serves high upload needs 5 e-mail addresses with a total of 500 MB
space and 50 MB webspace. The packages are offered for a flat rate that
does not depend on the total time of usage and the traffic carried so
enterprises can plan their Internet costs. The service includes the
terminal equipment needed for using it and T-Com offers with the
symmetrical DSL business packages optional fixed IP address, too. If
ordered by October 1, no connection fee will be charged on the
symmetrical DSL 1 Mbps and symmetrical DSL 2 Mbps packages, and a
reduced monthly fee (starting from HUF 30,000) will apply. When
existing fixed line is used T-Com will grant further reduction of the
symmetrical Internet access prices, which offer is unique in the
market.
T-Com's symmetrical DSL service is available in 18
districts in Budapest and in 76 cities countrywide. Magyar Telekom also
offers the symmetrical DSL service through its Internet service
provider partners.
