Magyar Telekom, September 28, 2006 15:15
Mediaedge:cia Hungary Kft. has won the tender invited by the Magyar Telekom Group in June for the selection of a media agency for the entire group. From January 1, 2007 T-Com, T-Online, T-Mobile, T-Systems and T-Kábel will advertise in the off-line media through this company.
In June this year the Magyar Telekom Group invited a multi-step open
tender for the purpose of selecting a media agency to act for the
entire group. Of the 12 applicants finally 8 agencies submitted written
proposals, then four made verbal presentations of their offer, and
following negotiations with the best three agencies, the group selected
the winner on the basis of professional and business criteria. From
January 1, 2007 Mediaedge:cia Hungary Kft. will be responsible for all
the off-line media design and purchase activities for the Magyar
Telekom Group (T-Com, T-Online, T-Mobile, T-Systems and T-Kábel
brands).
Communication director Bálint Nagy said: “When the
tender was invited I set strict criteria for the communication
organization: transparency, correctness, professional and calculable
implementation, these were the key aspects that were to be enforced at
this tender, perhaps the highest-value one of the Hungarian advertising
market this year. I thought that this was the way to create the chance
of selecting the most suitable one for us, the professionally most
excellent agency. I feel from the feedback that we did jump the high
obstacle. Today, I can only hope that we have taken the best decision
possible also from a professional aspect when we trusted the several
billion advertising budget to Mediaedge. After five years we bid
farewell to Zenith, with satisfaction, good feelings and highly
appreciating and thanking them for their work.”
