New executives at Magyar Telekom

From January 1, 2007 László Mezriczky will act as Director of the Group Communication Directorate. At the same time Magyar Telekom decided to create the position of Media Relations Director. From January 1, 2007 this position will be filled by András Simon.
László Mezriczky graduated from the College of Foreign Trade, then from
the Budapest University of Economic Sciences with a degree in marketing
and obtained an MBA degree from Newport International University. He
has been working in marketing for fifteen years. From 1991 to 1995 held
various marketing executive positions at Kontrax. In 1995 he joined
Digital as Marketing Director. In 1998 after the merger of Compaq and
Digital he headed the marketing area in Compaq. From 2000 he acted also
as Marketing Coordinator of Compaq’s East European subsidiaries, then
from 2001 he was member of Compaq EMEA Marketing Council representing
the region. From the summer of 2002 after the merger of HP and Compaq
he was in charge of HP’s corporate communication and marketing in the
area of large companies.
Dr. András Simon graduated from the
Faculty of Law of the University of Pécs, then obtained a degree in
lobbying from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public
Administration. He worked for eleven years as a journalist. From 1994
to 2005 he was editor/presenter of news programs on Hungarian
Television and TV2, from 2002 he was chief editor/presenter of the
Pulitzer Award winning public affairs/political magazine Este
(Evening). From 2005 to 2006 he was Vice-President of Hungarian
Television in charge of programs.
