Magyar Telekom's Communications Director Bálint Nagy, who has headed the communications activities of Hungary's largest telecommunications company since 1995, will leave the Group by the end of this year.
At the end of December 2006, after more than 11 years, Bálint Nagy will
leave his position of Director responsible for marketing and corporate
communications at Hungary's largest telecommunications company.
He
joined the company, called then Matáv, in 1995 as Public Relations
Director. Since 2000 he has also managed the marketing communications
activities as Communications Director, and from 2003 he has been the
executive responsible for overall communications activities of the
Matáv – later Magyar Telekom – Group.
His telecomunications career
of over 11 years has been abundant in professional challenges and
accomplishments such as Matáv’s new corporate image shortly after his
arrival in 1995, later the rounds of the company's privatization,
followed by stock exchange listing, then a brand repositioning in 2000,
and last but not least the introduction of the „T” brands last year in
Hungary as well as abroad.
Under his management the company has
won a string of communications recognition including both professional
advertising awards (Golden Blade and Effie) and awards honoring the
Magyar Telekom Group's sponsorship and donation activities and its
pioneering role in this area.
A process to select a successor to Bálint Nagy is under way.
