Klip, not only for T-Com customers

Budapest, May 10, 2006 11:00

So far the calls made with Klip, the internet voice service of T-Com and T-Online, could only be paid subsequently, on the telephone bill, so it was only available to T-Com customers. With the balance recharge system introduced in early May everyone can use the service if they have a bank card that can be used to fill up the internet balance, and a broadband internet connection. Thanks to the balance recharge option, customers wishing to use the Klip can fill up their Klip account with 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000 HUF credit with a bank card on the Klip site available via www.t-com.hu and www.t-online.hu.

The internet-based voice service called Klip was launched in October jointly by T-Com and T-Online. Users of Klip could make and receive calls free of charge within the IP network. Since the end of January, the service has been working not only on the internet, but also in wireline and mobile directions. This means that with Klip calls can be made on a T-Com phone - after registration on the Klip site available via www.t-com.hu and www.t-online.hu - with the number starting 06-21 received on that site. Customers using the Klip can be called from T-Com wireline phone, as well as from the T-Mobile and Emitel networks.

So far users could only pay the charges for the Klip calls subsequently, with the telephone bill, so the service was in fact only available to T-Com customers. With the balance recharge system introduced in early May everyone can use the service if they have a bank card that can be used to fill up the internet balance, and a broadband internet connection. Thanks to the balance recharge option, customers wishing to use the Klip, can fill up their Klip account with 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000 HUF credit with a bank card on the home page of the service.

Calls between Klip users within the IP network are free of charge. The minute fee of calls in the wireline direction is gross 8 HUF all day, regardless of whether the call is local or long-distance. Mobile calls cost gross 55 HUF a minute in peak hours, and gross 35 HUF outside peak hours. International call charges vary by tariff zone, so a call, for example to an Austrian wireline phone, may cost as little as 15 HUF a minute. Calls are billed by the second. The service has no monthly fee or call set-up fee but it requires a broadband internet connection.

The service has recently been expanded with a telephone book which contains the availability data of those Klip users who consented to such public listing. You can easily find your friends using the Klip in the Klip Electronic Telephone Book.
