Rebranding in Macedonia: Mobimak will change to T-Mobile
Budapest, June 13, 2006 13:00
Macedonia's leading mobile service provider Mobimak, a member of the Magyar Telekom Group, announced today in Skopje its rebranding into T-Mobile. The rebranding is planned to come to a conclusion at the beginning of September 2006 with which Mobimak, along with its customers, will become a part of the T-Mobile family, one of the largest mobile communities in the world.
Mobimak - a fully owned subsidiary of MakTel, the Macedonian
telecommunications company majority owned by Magyar Telekom - holds 68%
share of the mobile market in Macedonia. The company gained around
900,000 customers during its steady growth for 10 years.
The rebranding into T-Mobile presents a deserved success for Mobimak
which has created its path towards this goal through continued growth
and development as well as constant work and care for the customers.
The entry of the T-Mobile brand also means the entry of the quality and
business standards of one of the largest world brands into Macedonia.
T-Mobile is a world renowned mobile brand - and a leader in Central and
Eastern Europe. T-Mobile serves around 88 million customers in many
countries throughout the world, including Austria, Hungary, Slovakia,
Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and
the USA, and as of September 2006 Macedonia as well.
MakTel's Board of Directors decided in February 2006 on starting
MakTel's rebranding process. This process will be conducted as one
project with MakTel's mobile subsidiary, Mobimak and its implementation
is anticipated in the first quarter of 2007 with MakTel's complete
rebranding - the introduction into Macedonia of the international
brands T-Com and T-Mobile.
