a result of the search process conducted with the involvement of an
international headhunter company. Today, T-Mobile Hungary's Board
accepted the recommendation of the Remuneration Committee and appointed

business.
In connection with the decision, Elek Straub, Magyar Telekom's Chairman-CEO and Chairman of
T-Mobile Hungary's Board of Directors said: "The decision of the Board reflects also their regard for
T-Mobile's
employees, executives, the work they have accomplished and the
outstanding results achieved. The merger of Magyar Telekom and T-Mobile
is one of the most important tasks in 2006. Today's decision means
that, after the integration, Magyar Telekom Group's Mobile Services
line of business will be directed by an executive who clearly knows and
can also represent the values based on which T-Mobile achieved the
leading position on the domestic mobile market. We can be sure that,
under the leadership of János Winkler, in 2006 the Mobile Services line
of business will be able to further enhance its excellent performance
shown in the previous year, and integration will help us to increase
customer satisfaction and ensure the further growth of Magyar Telekom
Group."
