A contract on outsourcing Magyar Telekom's Transportation Directorate was signed on Tuesday in Magyar Telekom's headquarters in Budapest by representatives of Magyar Telekom and MKB-Euroleasing Autópark Rt. The contract will enter into force on November 1.
Magyar Telekom expects the outsourcing to result in the medium term in
about twenty percent improvement in the efficiency of its
transportation-related business activities. MKB-Euroleasing Autópark
Rt., the selected outsourcing partner already possesses references
connected with Magyar Telekom because they manage part of T-Mobile
Hungary's vehicle fleet. According to the contract entering into force
on November 1, 83 Magyar Telekom employees will be taken over by
MKB-Euroleasing Autópark Rt. to manage the transportation services
provided so far in-house.
The contract signed today on the provision of services connected with
the operation of more than two thousand vehicles used by Magyar Telekom
and some of its subsidiaries is unique in Hungary because this is the
largest vehicle fleet outsourced in Hungary so far. In connection with
today's agreement, from next year Magyar Telekom intends to procure its
new vehicles through leasing also in cooperation with the
MKB-Euroleasing Group.
