Budapest, July 5, 2005 14:00

APEH and T-Systems signed a contract today on provision of voice-based telecommunications services by T-Systems to APEH.

To facilitate its job and to ensure cost-efficiency APEH made a decision to reorganize its national telephone system and invited a tender where Magyar Telekom's LoB responsible for business services, T-Systems also submitted a bid. T-Systems' bid covered, in addition to basic services, also provision of a connection to the Electronic Governmental Backbone Network (EKG). APEH selected T-Systems' bid, in addition to connection to EKG, also due to the service quality and the attractive prices.

"APEH pays special attention to improvement of cost-efficiency, so it is very positive that with this agreement the Tax Authority's telephone costs can be significantly reduced." - said APEH's Chairman Dr. János Szikora about the agreement.

The master agreement on cooperation was signed on behalf of APEH by Chairman Dr. János Szikora, on behalf of T-Systems by Zoltán Tankó, Magyar Telekom's Chief Officer and Béla Fazekas, T-Systems' Director on July 5.
