Economic Competition Office decision: Matáv’s pricing principles comply with regulations

On September 14, 2004 the Competition Council of the Economic Competition Office stopped its proceedings instituted on April 22, 2004 against Matáv.
On April 22, 2004 the Economic Competition Office instituted
competition surveillance proceedings against Matáv for suspicion of
abuse of significant market power. The proceedings examined among
others whether Matáv used price squeeze in its residential tariff
packages (and Matáv’s retail prices complied with regulations
considering the wholesale prices).
In its decision adopted on September 14, 2004 the Competition Council
of the Economic Competition Office found that Matáv's examined pricing
principles complied with the applicable regulations so it stopped the
proceedings against Matáv.
