Matáv qualified as a Superbrand

Matáv is the first Hungarian fixed-line telecommunications company to qualify as a Superbrand. The company was officially notified today of the qualification. The complete list of selected brands will be published at the Superbrands Hungary Gala to be held in November. The thirteen-strong jury of communication and marketing professionals elected the Matáv brand as member of the top brands club for its public awareness and outstanding values.
The jury awarded the Superbrand title to 400 of the more than ten
thousand brands. The November Gala will show which of the brands will
earn an award, i.e. be selected as best of their respective categories.
The winning brands will be listed in the Superbrands book to be
published in the autumn. Superbrand means a brand which has earned an
excellent reputation in its area. A Superbrand offers consumers
emotional and tangible advantages over other brands, which the
customers require and recognize.
The Superbrands program was launched nearly ten years ago. The
international program established in 1995 in Great Britain, that is now
operational in almost 30 countries throughout the world, invited the
most renowned communication and marketing professionals world-wide to
support the Superbrands initiative with their expertise and experience.
The central body set up in each country an independent and voluntary
committee to ensure that the worthy brands in a given country are
selected to qualify as Superbrand. In Hungary the Expert Committee was
established for the first time this year to assess the brands in
Hungary.
