Matáv wins Superbrand award

The Expert Panel of Superbrands Hungary has awarded the first prize in the “Corporate social responsibility” category to Matáv.
The international organization sets up independent national committees
in each country to ensure that the best brands of the country gets the
Superbrand status.
In Hungary, the expert panel selected for the first time those brands
from several thousand others which they deemed were giving the
consumers emotional and practical benefits over the competing brands,
which the consumers both expect and appreciate.
Among the 400 brands that received Superbrands distinction, Matáv
earned the first prize in the category with its widely recognized
corporate contributions and sponsorship activity. This was the first
time that a jury of communications experts evaluated and rewarded
Matáv’s sponsorship and donation activity.
The awards ceremony was held on November 30 with the participation of
Bill Colegrave, director of the international Superbrands program. On
behalf of Matáv, the prize was accepted by communication director Dr.
Bálint Nagy and by Gyula Szabó, deputy director of brand strategy and
manager of the Matáv Contributes Program.
