New CEO at Emitel Rt.
Budapest, February 24, 2003
As from March 1, 2003 Mr. Béla Kozma will be the new CEO of Emitel, a subsidiary of Matáv.
Béla Kozma (45) graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of
the Budapest Technical University in 1981 and took a post-graduate
diploma in integrated telecommunications engineering in 1985.
For the next four years he worked for the Budapest-area Post
Directorate of the Hungarian Post. Between 1987 and 1990 he worked in
Austria on the introduction of Hungarian digital exchanges. Since 1990,
he has held various management positions at Matáv, including director
of the Operations and Maintenance Directorate, deputy chief technical
officer and director of the PKI Telecommunications Development
Institute.
From March 2001 Mr. Béla Kozma has been the Chief Technical Officer of
Makedonskii Telecomunikacii (Maktel). His assignment with Maktel
expires on February 28, 2003.
The contract of Mr. Yoel Harel, the current CEO of Emitel, also expires
on 28 February 2003. Mr. Harel did not wish to extend his contract.
