New executives at the Macedonian Telephone Company and MatávkábelTV

Attila Szendrei will replace John Munnery as CEO of the Macedonian Telephone Company (MakTel). At MakTel’s Board Meeting held today, his appointment was approved as of September 19, 2002.
After his studies at the University of Heavy Industry at Miskolc,
Budapest Technical University and Central European University at
Prague, Attila Szendrei (49) worked as Director of Videoton Alkatrész
Rt. and, subsequently, of Videoton Holding Rt. He was Operations
Director at Zwack Unicum Rt. and, at the same time, Managing Director
of Budapesti Likőripari Vállalat. Prior to this appointment he was
Chief Executive Officer of MatávkábelTV Kft.
As of October 14, 2002, András Piller is appointed CEO of MatávkábelTV
Kft. András Piller (33) studied at the financial and foreign trade
departments of the Budapest University of Economics. He worked as
Financial Director at Westel 450 Rádiótelefon Kft. and as Financial
Director, then as CEO of Magyar RTL Televízió Rt. Prior to being
appointed to his present position, he was General Deputy Director of
MatávkábelTV Kft.
Matáv is a majority shareholder in Stonebridge Communications AD, the
company controlling MakTel, the only wireline and dominant mobile
telephone company in Macedonia.
