Today the number of Matáv customers using the Csevegő tariff package topped 200,000. The 200,000th customer receives a fixed-line telephone set from Matáv with SMS sending and receiving function.

The Csevegő tariff package was launched by Matáv in December 2001. This tariff package offers 20% discount on call charges after the 5th minute of the call and 30% discount after the 10th minute at all times of day, for all calls, until the 60th minute of the call.
Matáv offers an even higher discount until December 31, 2002. Residential customers can make calls to Matáv telephone numbers with 50% discount after the 5th minute until the 60th minute. The earlier 20% discount on call charges after the 5th minute of the call and 30% discount after the 10th minute until the 60th minute remains applicable to calls to mobile, international and non-Matáv national telephone numbers. (Csevegő tariff package discounts are applicable only to voice traffic but not to Internet traffic to 06 51 and local access numbers.)

The Matáv Group's Communication Director Bálint Nagy said: "Our customers can select among various tariff packages the one that best suits their phoning patterns. We are happy that already 200,000 customers have opted for the Csevegő tariff package to reduce monthly phoning costs. We are giving a fixed-line telephone set with SMS sending and receiving function to the 200,000th customer."
