Change of ADSL service provider becomes simpler and faster
Budapest, July 4, 2008
Today the National Communications Authority signed cooperation agreements with the heads of more than twenty Hungarian retail ADSL service providers and three wholesale ADSL service providers - Magyar Telekom, Invitel and UPC - to enable simpler change of ADSL service provider.
President of the National Communications Authority Dániel Pataki said that as a result of this agreement consumers can change service providers more simply and faster when they want to replace their old subscription and buy services from another company with more attractive conditions. Communications Consumers Rights Ombudsman Péter Takács said that the service providers signing the agreement have agreed to modify their general contract conditions by July 15, as it is laid down in the cooperation agreement. So at the latest from mid-August customers can change ADSL service provider according to the new conditions.
