Magyar Telekom Symphony Orchestra offers new season tickets for the 2008/2009 concert season

At a press conference Magyar Telekom Symphony Orchestra presented the programs and novelties of the 2008/2009 season. In addition to highly successful existing series, a Beethoven season ticket and Romantic season ticket will be offered to music-lovers. From June 30 Gábor Bolvári-Takács will no longer be the Executive Manager of the orchestra.
In
the 2008/2009 season the orchestra will continue with its program
structure elaborated in the previous season. New series will be started
in addition to the very popular Classical series, Annie Fischer season
ticket, Bach series continuing in the spring of 2009 and 20th Century
series, as well as the Pinocchio and Goblin youth series. An orchestral
series entitled Romantic season ticket will start; it is organized
around the wonderful music of Dvořák. Another novelty will be the
Beethoven season ticket that includes all piano concertos and four
symphonies of the composer presented in the Main Hall of the Academy of
Music.
The orchestra will also appear at several summer
programs. This summer too it will participate at the Ferencváros
Festival held in Bakáts tér in the performance of Verdi’s Otello with
international artists. Concerts at Vajdahunyad Castle will also
continue. This year András Keller and his orchestra, the Magyar Telekom
Symphony Orchestra, will be invited to perform on August 10 as guests
of the Zemplén Festival in Sárospatak.
In addition to the
programs, a change in the personnel was also announced at the press
conference. At the end of June Gábor Bolvári-Takács, whose contract
expires, will leave the orchestra. Until the new Executive Manager is
selected Music Director András Keller will lead the orchestra.
