Bosch relies on T-Systems in Asia
Frankfurt am Main, June 22, 2007
Bosch in Singapore has commissioned T-Systems Enterprise Services to connect over 200 sites in the Asia Pacific region via a high-performance network. The business customer unit of Deutsche Telekom will also provide ICT services on site from its local data centers. The contract runs five years and is valued at 20 million euros.
The Bosch Group plans to provide all of its locations in the Asia Pacific region with IT services from Singapore. This is why a new network architecture with standardized network services and systems is being set up for more than 200 sites. This also includes a high-performance connection between the data centers in America and Europe. These steps will enable the company to reduce IT costs in the region in the long run. This major ICT project will support Bosch's strong growth in the Asia Pacific region. The set-up and operation of data centers and networks is part of T-Systems' core business.
"T-Systems understands of our requirements well and is very flexible. We have confidence in the company's experience and commitment to Bosch's expansion in the Asia Pacific region," says Dr. Heinz Derenbach, Executive Vice President Technical and Engineering in the Corporate Sector for Information Systems and Services at Bosch.
The Bosch Group decided to go with T-Systems as their ICT partner in
the Far East. After years of strong growth with a variety of service
providers in the region, the company is now relying on information and
communications technology from one source - without complications in
technology or services.
