Cisco Systems Hungary has awarded the "Cisco Partner of the Year in Hungary" title for the sixth time in 13 categories. Matáv was found the best in the "Service Provider Partner of the Year", "IP Communication Partner of the Year" and "Gold Partner of the Year" categories.

The awards were presented at the major annual meeting of the company's partners, the Cisco Partner Summit meeting held in Vancouver, Canada. The company's management gave awards to the partners which significantly contributed to the common successes with their know-how and experience. The goal of the Cisco Partner Programs is to provide the resellers and qualified Cisco Partners with the information and support needed for successful operation on the network market. Telecommunications operators are playing an increasingly important role in the communication services provided to corporate and residential customers - including voice, data and video transmission. With the spread of residential internet usage networks are moving into the households, wireless and multimedia devices make internet and internet contents - films and music - accessible at any point of the household.

Matáv finished in first place in the "Service Provider Partner of the Year" category. Matáv also became "IP Communication Partner of the Year" for its successes achieved and high-standard services provided on the IP telephony market. Matáv's Business Services LoB received the "Gold Partner of the Year" award. Matáv, as Cisco's CPN (Cisco Powered Network) partner, introduced on the business communication market network solutions based on Cisco technology offering integrated voice and data transmission and high security with which its customers can operate more efficiently and focus their internal resources better on their own business processes while saving communication costs.
