Matáv Donation Line for homeless in Pécs

In January and February customers calling the Matáv Donation Line from a fixed-line number donate HUF 100 to the Támasz Foundation in Pécs. The money donated will be spent by the Foundation on providing hot meals to homeless people living in Pécs. HUF 200, i.e. two calls to the Matáv Donation Line can cover the meals for one person for one day. The Támasz Foundation established in 1990 continuously developed and operates institutions caring for the homeless in Pécs.
In January and February by calling number 1788 customers can help care
for the homeless in Pécs with the involvement of the Támasz Foundation
so that more people living on the street can receive a hot meal at
least once a day. In winter the most important task of the Foundation
is to save homeless people from freezing to death and providing them
with a hot meal once a day, 7 days a week.
The Támasz Foundation was established in 1990 by various organizations
with the objective of caring for homeless people in Pécs. Today an
extensive system of institutions is operating under the management of
the Foundation including, in the daytime care, the Social Information
Service, the Daytime Home, the Soup-Kitchen, the Homeless Family Doctor
Consulting Room, a dental service, baths for cleaning and disinfecting;
in the temporary accommodation service, a night shelter for women and
men, temporary accommodation for women and men; and in the permanent
accommodation service a Homeless Care Home, crisis service and street
social service.
