T-Mobile subscribers can now make phone calls in Japan, on the NTT DoCoMo network
Budapest, October 12, 2004
T-Mobile subscribers can now make phone calls using the network of NTT DoCoMo, the largest mobile operator in Japan. Besides phone calls, customers can also send and receive SMSes, and can pay the bill later in Forints in Hungary.
The mutual opening of the GSM and WCDMA networks offers
simpler mobile calls for the customers of both operators, who do not need to buy
a new SIM card locally. NTT DoCoMo with its nearly 50 million subscribers is one
of the defining mobile companies, its advanced third generation network is used
by nearly 6 million customers.
T-Mobile Hungary currently maintains
roaming cooperation with 310 operators of 141 countries, and its subscribers can
use the GPRS/MMS services on 65 international partner networks – which is the
highest rate among the domestic mobile operators.
