Matáv Donation Line for the "Aranyág" Fund

Budapest, November 4, 2004

Those who call the Matáv Donation Line on a fixed line telephone in November and December support the Aranyág (Golden Branch) Foundation with 100 HUF. The Foundation will allocate the money received as donation to the Children's Clinic of the Pécs University for the purpose of purchasing a mobile X-ray unit. Aranyág Foundation has been collecting donations since 1995, and providing support to institutions and organizations nursing physically disabled children and those suffering from chronic diseases.

In November and December the Children's Clinic of the Pécs University can be supported by calling 1788, to make a contribution to the purchase of the necessary X-ray equipment. This equipment allows the X-ray examination of small patients lying on a stretcher without moving and transporting them. The equipment is equally suitable for radiological examination of infants, X-ray examination of older children at the intensive care unit, or radiological diagnosis of trauma patients and other examinations of X-ray diagnostics.

The Aranyág Foundation was established in 1995 for the purpose of collecting donations, and providing support to Hungarian health institutions for children. The fund has been operating as a non-profit organization since 1999 with the goal of improving the physical condition of ill and physically disabled children, promoting their recovery, and modernizing and extending the equipment of their nursing facilities.
