Fixed lines grew again in March

The number of fixed telephone lines grew to 3.6 million in Hungary in March, the National Communications Authority announced. The number of lines per 100 inhabitants increased from 35.57 per cent to 35.61 per cent.

The household coverage figure did not change from the figure a month earlier: it remained 71 per cent. Within the overall lines, the number of ISDN channels grew slightly in March 2004. The average monthly duration of calls initiated per line increased from 237.9 minutes in February to 250.6 minutes in March 2004.
