MakTel and its subsidiary, MobiMak established the e-Macedonia Foundation in memory of Boris Trajkovski to support the development of the information society and telecommunications.

At the extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors, MakTel and MobiMak established the e-Macedonia foundation with an equity of 100 000 Euros(25.2 million HUF) in memory of Boris Trajkovski the tragically deceased Macedonian president, for the purpose of supporting the development of the information society and telecommunications. The Board of Directors decided that MakTel and MobiMak would provide assistance of 250 000 Macedonian denars (1 million HUF) to each of the families of the victims of the accident who were on the president’s aircraft.

Boris Trajkovski Macedonian president died on February 26, 2004 when his aircraft crashed over Bosnia. The president and his colleagues were on their way to Mostar to attend a conference.
