Accented domain names from Axelero
Budapest, January 14, 2004
While formerly only (unaccented) Latin characters and hyphen could be used in Internet addresses, now the new standards enable the use of accented characters.
Under a recent ruling of the Council of Internet Service
Providers, from March 1 users may also have the new accented usernames
registered. With the introduction of Hungarian accented domain names not only
Latin characters but also accented Hungarian small-case letters may be used in
the domain names, such as á, é, í, ó, ö, ő, ú, ü, ű.
For more information
on the process of registration and preliminary registration of accented domain
names please visit Axelero's website.
