With its extensive professional experience and the complex provision of various services, Matáv will contribute to the seamless organization of one of the world's most prominent sport events -the 10th Indoor Athletic Championships.

Matáv will install several hundred telephone lines in the Budapest Sport Arena for the organizing committee and the press (together with sets and fax machines). In addition, the company will provide the ISDN connections for the commentator positions as well as the ADSL internet connections. The leased lines of the accreditation points will similarily be installed with Matáv's assistance.
"In addition to providing conventional voice and Internet services, we will, with the involvement of our subsidiaries and relying on our system integrator competence, supply the PC network (including the needed software and peripherals) which is indispensable for the work of the organizing committee and the journalists. We will also provide a professional help-desk service to ensure the problem-free operation of the system", explained Iván Vetési, deputy director of Matáv.

Matáv will provide the network construction work for the scoreboards in the Budapest Sport Arena and for the 100 television sets to be installed in the press boxes and various other locations of the Arena. "We will provide the above services as a comprehensive infocommunication solution, with which we will remove a significant burden from the shoulders of the organizers and contribute to the high-standard technical implementation of the event. It is a great pleasure for Matáv to be able to demonstrate the high standard of its services at such a prestigious sport event," said Iván Vetési.
