In December 2003 both the number of fixed lines and the length of the calls increased

In December last year there were 3.602.659 connected direct lines in Hungary, about one thousand more than in November, the National Communication Authority announced. The number of direct lines per 100 citizens also increased in December, it grew from 35.59 to 35.61. The average time of the initiated calls per one direct line grew from 237.4 minutes in November to 240.9 minutes in December. The average length of the initiated calls was 3.05 minutes in November and 3.08 minutes in December. In December, 71 per cent of the households had a fixed telephone line.
