In addition to high speed data transmission, high quality Internet access and the option of video calls, the third generation UMTS network of T-Mobile Hungary will also offer much more comprehensive and interesting data contents than at present, those contents will not only offer text and images, but they will emphatically enable the fast transmission of high quality multimedia materials, including videos.

The largest mobile carrier and the pioneer in technology and services, the role of T-Mobile Hungary may be determining in the implementation and diffusion of UMTS in Hungary. The Company welcomes that the National Communication Authority has published, after the required preparations the invitation for bids for the utilization rights of UMTS frequency bands, which T-Mobile Hungary will naturally study in the upcoming days.
Mr. Sugár András reminded: "T-Mobile Hungary is already offering several services typically found in third generation networks, owing to the higher transmission speed (probably 384 kbit/s at the start), the quality of these may improve significantly. Television shows available on mobile telephones, video recording and later on, video calls will bring a new era of mobile communication. We will see an even more exciting and interesting era, in which T-Mobile as a pioneer in innovation will offer lots of novelties to its customers. That said, enhanced GSM will remain a determining service for a long time ahead, we will provide gateways for our customers between the two technologies, offering a choice to them."
