Light painting on the facade of the Matáv Headquarters
Budapest, December 16, 2003
At Christmas the Matáv Headquarters will be decorated with lights again. The "paintings" done with an "electronic paintbrush" feature traditional Christmas motifs. Those who feel the urge can try making an electronic painting themselves.
This
is the third year that the facade of the building is decorated with a
"Christmas light painting". The outdoor exhibition can be seen from
December 18, 2003 to January 1, 2004 on workdays from 5.30 to 12 p.m.,
and on holidays and during the weekends from 4 to 12 p.m., on the
facade of the Matáv Headquarters at Krisztina körút.
Compared to the previous years a new feature of the painting is that it
is animated, and practically the whole surface of the painting is
moving, so visitors can see a dynamic image rather than a static
picture. Another innovative feature is that the traditional Christmas
motifs are more emphasized in this picture, and they are displayed in a
unique style. The artists creating this huge animated picture are
members of the Cinetrip Visual Brigade.
Visitors can also take part personally in the animation by using an
"electronic easel". Crafts activities, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts
and a lot of other surprises also await visitors. The animated light
pictures are displayed on the Internet as well, at
