Donation to children in Sopron

On August 28, 2003 László Bodnár, Matáv’s Chief Services and Logistics Officer received the Award for Sopron from the Assembly of Sopron City. László Bodnár offered the cash given with the award to the Foundation For Modern Health Services In The Greater Sopron Area.
The “Award for Sopron” is
given by the Assembly to people whose outstanding acts contribute to
the development of the city and enhancement of its international
reputation. HUF 100,000 goes with the award. László Bodnár added the
income tax to be paid and offered HUF 100,000 net to the Foundation For
Modern Health Services In The Greater Sopron Area that will be spent by
the Foundation on support to the children’s ward. Under the company’s
KEA program Matáv added HUF 100,000 to the donation given by the Chief
Officer.
Foundation For Modern Health Services In The Greater Sopron Area:
The Foundation has been supporting the Sopron Hospital’s operation
since 1990. Among others donations have been given for reconstruction
of the Sopron Hospital’s Clinic and regular contributions are given to
procurement of modern therapeutic devices for the Hospital. The
donations made for the children’s ward are managed separately within
the Foundation.
KEA program:
When a Matáv employee gives a donation for a purpose considered worthy
by Matáv the company matches it with a donation of the same amount to
the Foundation.
