In a ceremony held on August 27, Béla Pongrácz head of the Sopron Technical Services Center of Matáv greeted the ten thousandth ADSL subscriber of the region. Csaba Kiss, a resident of Oroszlány, received a Swissvoice Avena 235 telephone set (suitable for sending and receiving SMSs) and a table clock as gift of Matáv.

The winner is the managing director of an international transportation agency, who ordered ADSL service for his family. They use the Internet for 5-6 hours a day, but currently, during the summer period they spend 10 hours on the net. He most frequently visits sites of technical and financial contents, but - as his son is a secondary school student - they often download games as well. They chose ADSL as it allows Internet usage all day round without payment of a separate call charge. A very important aspect is that this service makes our costs plannable - Csaba Kiss emphasized.
